This was a project that I did summer of 2016. We were learning about combustion engines in one of my classes and I decided that I wanted to get some more hands on experience. I saw a video about early motorcycles and it gave me the idea to build something like that. So I ordered a kit from eBay and bought a bicycle at Walmart. The bike came with a squeaky parrot instead of a bell. I just left in on there because I thought it was funny. It was a very simple engine but I got to assemble and tune it myself which was the fun part of this project. I got to learn more practically about 2 stroke engines and what to do when they aren't running correctly and how to optimize performance. I added a chrome headlight and a speedometer to make it look cool. I loved riding this thing around town that summer, but then I sold it to move on to new projects.

ABOUT ME

My name is Josh. From a very young age I've had a passion for making things. As a child I was always building robots out of cardboard, foam weapons, and elaborate Rube Goldberg machines. In college I decided to become an Engineer. I made this site to showcase my projects.
